Classroom in Malawi

help2kids was founded by Frank Jörg Hakenjos in 2009. The organisation is based in Zug, Switzerland and currently has projects in Tanzania and Malawi. In Tanzania help2kids runs an own Children’s House. The orphanage in Mbezi Beach today hosts over 30 children.

In 2012 Frank and his team started The Friendly Gecko Guest House in Lifuwu Village, Leopard BayMalawi. The guest house finances the charity projects of help2kids in Malawi.

Why Malawi? In Malawi only 50% of children attend primary school. Of the children who attend primary school, only 25% graduate. The primary purpose of their program in Malawi is to help the community by assisting in the primary education of children in the area. The village school has only two classrooms, and many classes are taught outside. This makes teaching and attending school during the rainy season impossible.

We decided to support help2kids by taking the patronage to build two new primary school classrooms, blackboard, books and pens for approx. 50 kids in Lifuwu Village, Leopard BayMalawi.
